“How do you catch the ghosts?”

 “After you catch the ghosts, where do you place them? Will they follow you back to your home?”

By my understanding, for “small cases”, my father could settle them himself with his Heavenly Master. But when it came to big cases or powerful ghost cases, my father would have to go with his other disciples: we called them the Team SKB Members.

Some of them could hear and see the invisible world.

They are the ones who are gifted with the “Third Eye”, thus they’re called the “Third Eye Masters”.

My father said he always felt confident and safe, as he was assured that his Heavenly Master was watching over him and protecting him at all times.

We believe ghosts exist in this world.

Maybe because of this belief, all of us are very scared of ghosts, even we have never seen one.

My father provided his services to overseas countries, including Thailand, Japan, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and other countries.

I wondered how my father was able to know how to speak or chant in foreign languages as he told me he could communicate with the demons/ghosts?

I also wondered how my father could remember and chant all of the long holy verses when performing the spiritual services.

He always joked and told us that his Heavenly Master can communicate in multiple languages, and all the devils, spirits and ghosts could understand his chants and they were afraid of him.

I started to understand the practice of ‘Tian Shen’ (天神) and what it is about when I was studying at the University in Kedah, a state in Malaysia. I was staying in the University’s hostel. My friend who stayed in the next room to me told me that she was disturbed by a ghost or a so called evil entity. She described that she was being pressed by something, her whole body couldn’t move and she felt difficulty in breathing. But after she prayed from her inner heart, her body was slowly able to move. I called my father in Penang to help me. My father asked for her name, date of birth and hostel room number.

After a while, he called and said there were some negative spiritual things that needed to be cleaned.

I asked my father - why it is so simple and can be done without any tool, "sword" or commonly seen paraphernalia, because it is really different from what I have seen in the movies?

Then my father started to explain further about Tian Shen.

Tian Shen is actually a training method/spiritual meditation related to various Heavenly Deities/Gods. For potential practitioners, the initiation into Shen Tian Pai（天神派) is simple as there are no prerequisite difficult vows needed.

At the final stage of spiritual training, the practitioners can attain the spiritual ability to communicate not only with their Heavenly Master, but also with other Heavenly God/Deities, Datoh Gong (a term that’s used in Malaysia for deities), spirits, and even souls.
